Super clean. Very helpful. Excellent tips for the neighbourhood. Come for the fresh scones at breakfast, stay for the time capsule of classic Victorian and warm comfort.
We stayed in the St. James room. It was beautiful. The heated floors in the bathroom may have been the best part, and that's saying something. Michael and Ron have gone to lots of effort to find the right antiques for this 1871 house. I can't say it's how I'd prefer to decorate my own home, but it works for the venue! The breakfast was great too. We'll be back.
What a gorgeous home and what an amazing duo of hosts. The home is beautifully conserved history but also modern and equipped with top notch today's amenities. The breakfast was an absolute delight and I wanted to ask for seconds but I was a bit embarrased. I couldn't be happier that I found this home to spend the night and now I know I will be back. I-will-be-back.
Unfortunately we didn't get to experience breakfast (always part of the adventure at a B&B) as they didn''t start serving until 8:30 and we're early risers. That was a bit surprising as we've found most B&B's are up and going by 6. But, not the end of the world, just something we missed out on by having to get going early.
Pleasant hosts, spotlessly clean and neat as a pin. Bed was beyond comfortable, spouse didn't want to get out of bed in the morning. Very ornate decorating - kind of a 1970's victorian style 'pack two houses of stuff into 1', but it works.
Morrisburg is an underrated tourist destination, particularly for fishing. This B&B is like a block from the public launch. And the launch in town, well, i can't think of a better maintained public or private launch. Super easy in and out - though you can catch fish right from the dock at the launch itself.
This place is incredibly beautiful, clean and the hosts are friendly and welcoming, not to mention extremely talented chefs! Loved it and would recommend to anyone!!
