When choosing insurers, whether for home, property, driving, etc., the choice is usually between a single large insurer (usually with a call centre and a supporting back office) versus an independent insurance broker like Brister Insurance, with access to multiple insurers and underwriters. Brister Insurance, in my opinion, exemplifies the advantages of an independent insurance broker. My personal experience with Brister Insurance has demonstrated this. For existing policies with Brister, their brokers consistently have taken timely and effective actions to ensure an optimal and appropriate level of coverage in my policies at the best price available. They communicated and negotiated with their insurers and underwriters to ensure that my policies reflected all applicable and available discounts. For other special situations requiring unique underwriting, the brokers at Brister, through their network of insurers, were able to find an insurer and policy to meet my needs at a cost effective price. This probably would not have been very possible by going through a single large insurer, except perhaps at a significantly higher cost. For these reasons, I am very appreciative of the business relationship that I have with Brister Insurance for my personal insurance needs for home, driving, etc.
